The quality of animal welfare in the slaughterhouse is essential for the quality of the finished products. The stalling area is a technical area that must respond to the rigorous criteria of the labour code and health regulations.
Slaughterhouses were set up in France in the 1960s to structure, clean up and control the quality of meat: with the ban on slaughter outside approved structures, each town had a public slaughterhouse. Over time, the structures were grouped together, the slaughterhouses grew and the housing of animals in stalls became an important topic.
We work with our customers and develop processes and equipment for the reception and management of animals, and make animal welfare a priority.
Our equipment and processes are rigorously designed to provide calm and fluid paths for animals that are often disturbed by their arrival at the slaughterhouse.
Concerned about animal welfare, we have been offering solutions adapted to their behaviour for many years. From the unloading platform to the slaughter box: all our equipment is studied by our design office and tested by our customers. They allow us to manage the lighting environment, to cool the animals subject to the vagaries of the weather, or to reduce noise pollution. All of this helps to limit the causes of stress for the livestock, and facilitates and ensures the serenity of the work of those involved.
In addition to ensuring animal welfare, our slaughterhouse housing equipment also complies with current health and veterinary regulations. They also allow the animals to be cleaned, facilitate the ante-mortem inspection, water and feed the animals, and isolate injured or sick animals.
